Kinch Hoekstra has written on ancient, renaissance, and early modern political thought. He specializes in the history of political, moral, and legal philosophy. Prior to his appointment at UC Berkeley, Hoekstra was a member of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Oxford. Hoestra holds a joint appointment with the UC Berkeley School of Law.
